It’s a matchup of 3-1 teams when the Packers play at Cincinnati Sunday.
The Bengals are coached by Zac Taylor, who is married to the daughter of former Packers Head Coach Mike Sherman. Taylor worked with Packers Head Coach Matt LaFleur for a year with the Rams.
Here are three things to watch for in Sunday’s Noon game.
Bengals Offense
Cincinnati’s offense is led by young quarterback Joe Burrow and some talented skill position players. They would test even a fully healthy Packers defense.
The absence of Za’Darius Smith and Jaire Alexander will really challenge the Green Bay “D”.
Bengals Defense
The Bengals invested big money in their defense in the free agent market, including pass rusher Trey Hendrickson. Their secondary features Trae Waynes, the former Viking from Kenosha.
Special Teams
Even though it was called back because of an offsides penalty, you have to think the Bengals are studying the blocked field goal that almost turned into a Steelers touchdown against the Packers last Sunday.
In a close game, special teams can make a difference.
Former Packers defensive tackle Mike Daniels is on the Bengals practice squad.
