CLEVELAND — For the first time in three seasons, the Cleveland Browns will play on a Saturday.
The NFL announced this week that the Browns’ Week 15 contest against Las Vegas will be moved to Dec. 18 at 4:30 p.m. With the Raiders holding a 5-5 record and the Browns currently at 6-5, the game could have a major impact on the AFC Wild Card chase.
The Browns are a half game behind the Bengals, Chargers and Bills for the Wild Card spot.
The last time the Browns played on a Saturday night was against the Denver Broncos on Dec. 15, 2018. The Browns eked out a 17-16 victory over the Broncos in the Mile High City.
The Browns are slated to play again on a Saturday, taking on the Packers on Christmas Day at 4:30 p.m.
The NFL generally holds a pair of Saturday night games in the short window between the end of college football season and New Year’s Day.
