CLEVELAND — The city of Cleveland said that it was among the organizations affected by Kronos and Tele Staff’s recent cybersecurity incident.
According to the city, some employees’ first and last names, addresses, last four of the SSN, and employee ID may have been compromised. The city said that an investigation is ongoing.
“We wanted to share these initial findings as soon as they were available,” Mayor Frank Jackson’s office said in a news release.
The city added that the incident will not impact employees’ paychecks.
Kronos provides timekeeping and paycheck services for businesses throughout the U.S. Some clients have been unable to access Kronos’ platform amid the incident.
According to Bloomberg, the ransomware attack could disrupt the platform for weeks.
