The first full week of spring starts off with warm, southerly winds and mostly sunny skies, followed by a return to unsettled weather for a good portion of the middle to late part of the week.

What You Need To Know

  • A mostly sunny and warm start to the week is in store Monday
  • Clouds increase Tuesday, along with the chances of scattered showers
  • The rainiest days will be Wednesday and Thursday
  • Some clearing likely as we finish things up on Friday

Monday will be a very nice day for the first full day of Spring across the state. Expect mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies, and highs well into the 60s, if not 70s. Easterly winds and increasing clouds meet and greet us Monday night into Tuesday.

North and East Ohio have the best chances for scattered showers Tuesday, along with the coolest temperature drops. In fact, after well-above average highs Monday, Tuesday could see many areas falling into the 40s to low 50s at best.

A warm front moves up across the state Wednesday, increasing our temperatures, but also delivering more available moisture to Ohio. This means a soggy middle to end of the week, with light to moderate rain.

While severe weather (or even many thunderstorms, for that matter) isn’t likely, we’ll be keeping our eyes on any convection that may develop along the front for the mid-week.

Cooler and drier air makes its way in by Friday, decreasing our rain chances and helping to give us at least a little bit of sunshine as we wrap up the week ahead.
