SHARONVILLE, Ohio — The Princeton City School District said the Sharonville Police Department found no evidence of a bomb threat at Princeton Community Middle School Tuesday.

“Over the past two hours, the school has been searched extensively. It was determined there was no device and no concern for student safety,” the district said.

Staff will be allowed back in buildings this afternoon, but afternoon and evening activities have been canceled.

Police said around 11 a.m. Tuesday, someone called in the threat, saying a suspect left a suspicious bag in the building and left.

“Out of an abundance of caution, the buildings, including Viking Village, Princeton Community Middle School, and Princeton High School, have been evacuated, and you should avoid the area until further notice,” the district said. “Students were evacuated to the school’s designated alternate sites, including PCMS (Vineyard), and PHS (Queen City Racquet Club), and will remain there until early dismissal.

“We will follow early release procedures for middle school (2:00 p.m.) and high school students (12:30 p.m.). Students will be sent home on their regular buses. Parents who choose to pick up students from the alternate sites, must show identification and sign only their child out.”
