A storm system moving into toward Ohio Monday night is forecast to bring the threat for strong storms to the area Tuesday.
Severe storms erupted Monday night across the Central Plains as a potent storm system took shape. The system is forecast to push into the Ohio Valley Tuesday, bringing with it a threat for intense thunderstorms.
The Storm Prediction Center has placed much of Ohio under a “slight risk” for severe storms. Damaging wind gusts are the mostly likely threat with the strongest storms. However, large hail, heavy rainfall, and even an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.
The greatest threat for severe storms is expected between 1pm to 8pm. Storms are forecast to weaken near sunset Tuesday before pushing out of the state in the late evening.
