Make sure you have a way to get severe weather alerts overnight. Damaging winds are possible from 12 a.m. through 4 a.m.

What You Need To Know

  • Scattered severe storms are possible through midnight
  • Damaging winds up to 75 mph are possible from midnight through 4 a.m. Tuesday
  • Widespread damage and power outages are possible
  • Extreme heat will make it feel like more than 100 degrees both Tuesday and Wednesday

Winds could gust as high as 75 mph or even higher mainly from 12 a.m. through 4 a.m. Tuesday.

These severe storms could cause widespread damage and power outages.

Isolated to scattered severe storms are possible through late this evening with increasing heat and humidity.

The northern half of the state is under an enhanced risk for severe weather.

This means “numerous’ severe storms are possible.

While wind is the main threat, other modes of severe weather are possible.

Storms will quickly move on Tuesday morning, but high heat and humidity is our next weather hazard.

Air temperatures will be in the upper 90s both Tuesday and Wednesday, with dew points in the middle 70s.

Heat index values could get as high as 110 degrees.

A cold front will push across the state Thursday, bringing relief from the heat to end the week.

Behind Thursday’s wet weather, cooler air will come in for Friday through the weekend.
