COLUMBUS, Ohio — Both of Ohio’s Major League Soccer clubs were represented on the MLS Team of the Week for Week 24.
Columbus Crew midfielder Lucas Zelarayan and FC Cincinnati defender Alvaro Barreal were named to the team for their performances.
Zelarayan finished the week with three goals and one assist in two matches.

Zelarayan scored the lone goal in a 2-1 loss to CF Montreal on Aug. 3. He then finished the week being a part of all three Crew goals in a 3-2 win versus defending MLS Cup champion New York City FC, scoring two and assisting on one.
Barreal scored one goal and had one assist in FCC’s 3-1 win versus the Philadelphia Union, the MLS Eastern Conference leaders.

Week 24 saw a single-day record for goals with 57 goals across the league on Aug. 6.
The Crew next play at the Colorado Rapids on Aug. 13 at 9 p.m., and FCC hosts Atlanta United the same day at 7:30 p.m.
