Queen Elizabeth II, the longest-reigning monarch in British history, died Sept. 8 at the age of 96. Her son, King Charles III, has assumed the throne after seven decades as heir apparent.
Now after weeks of mourning, with crowds of thousands waiting in line for hours to pay their respects to the queen, the world said farewell to the beloved monarch at a state funeral.
