CLEVELAND — His hair is down to his shoulders, and he plays the guitar. His name is Jagger, but he said his parents didn’t name him after Mick Jagger, the lead singer of The Rolling Stones.

What You Need To Know

  • Jagger Pallay is the starting quarterback at Hudson High School and is also in a band
  • His brother and QB coach Colt Pallay is also in the band
  • The band is called The Pallay Boys

“Crazy enough I ask them all the time and they just say, they tell me that were looking at lists of names for boys and stuff, and they saw Jagger and fell in love with it,” Jagger Pallay said.

Jagger Pallay is in a band. He said when he’s not tuning his strings, he’s fine-tuning his offense as the starting quarterback for Hudson High school. Football games are Friday nights. On Saturday, he performs in front of a different audience.

“I’m here a lot. I love it. I have no complaints,” Jagger Pallay said. “I love the band. I love football, but I spend more time here.”

His brother Colt Pallay has the same hairstyle and is the quarterbacks coach. When he’s not coaching his little brother, he said he’s playing alongside him in the band. The band is aptly called The Pallay Boys.

“Kinda forced him into it. But obviously now, he enjoys it,” Colt Pallay said.

Jagger said he’s happy to follow in his brother’s footsteps, in both football and in music.

“It’s really cool how I got to watch him and now he’s kind of watching me and coaching me,” Jagger Pallay said. “So it’s like the roles are reversed. So it’s really cool to have my big brother on the sidelines.”

Jagger Pallay has had to juggle a lot with school, sports and the band. He said since playing football has a shorter window, he’s spending more time on that and he knows he can still play guitar long after he hangs up his cleats.
