COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus Division of Police said a 4-year-old child and a woman in her 30s were hit by a vehicle on Halloween while crossing the street.
Police said a man, who is 49 but was not named, struck the pedestrians in his F-150 at 6:55 p.m. on Halloween night while they were crossing Westerville Road.
The child was taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital. He was pronounced dead at 9:30 p.m.
The woman was taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital in critical condition.
No other details have been provided. The police said the investigation is ongoing.
