STRONGSVILLE, Ohio — It’s that time of year again! Reservations are now open for the tobogganing season at The Chalet. It’s located at the Mill Stream Run Reservation in Strongsville.

You can take the plunge down 700-foot refrigerated ice shoots going up 40 miles per hour.

Amy McRitchie with Cleveland Metroparks says the chutes have been open for decades and the only requirements are you have to be at least 42 inches tall and wear gloves that cover your fingertips.

Because of the pandemic, the toboggan chutes now operate on a reservation system. You can purchase a timed ticket online, and it’s valid for multiple rides down the icy chutes. Adult tickets for those 12 years and older cost $14, children’s tickets cost $12.

The tobogganing season at The Chalet will operate through the last weekend in February.
