The coldest air we’ve had since the end of December is returning Friday morning through Saturday morning.

What You Need To Know

  • Heavy bursts of snow may make driving difficult in northeast Ohio late Thursday night through Friday morning
  • Wind chills will be very cold Thursday night through Saturday morning
  • Winds will be gusty on Sunday with warming temperatures

Cold air moving over the Great lakes Thursday night into Friday will kick off lake-effect snow showers.

Parts of northeast Ohio could experience dangerous travel and whiteout conditions.

We do have the ingredients we need for seeing snow squalls, which can change road conditions very quickly.

The snow will be very fluffy but could accumulate 2-5 inches in the snowbelt.

Everyone will have low wind chills through Saturday morning.

Subzero wind chills may stay in place all Friday in northern Ohio.

Single digit and lower teen wind chills will be around in central and southern Ohio.

Saturday morning may be even a little colder than Friday morning but a wind direction change will bring up temperatures in the afternoon.

Saturday will be a great day for outdoor plans.

Sunday will be milder but gusty.

A few rain/snow showers are possible late Sunday/early Monday in northern Ohio but much of the weekend will be dry.
