WARREN TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Emergency personnel responded to an explosion in an industrial area in Warren that was felt in multiple northeast Ohio cities Saturday afternoon.
In a Facebook post, the Warren Township Fire Department said it is investigating a boiler explosion at the Warren Coke Plant and that there were no reported injuries. There are no reported injuries and everyone is accounted for.
The department also said there were no reported chemical leaks.
According to social media posts and comments, people from multiple surrounding cities and even in western Pennsylvania reported hearing the explosion.
