Storm chances increase this afternoon, with a risk of severe storms starting NW around 3-4 p.m., Cleveland around 6 p.m., then moving along I-70 closer to 7-8 p.m., and finally exiting the state around midnight tonight.
Ahead of the main line, widely scattered storms will be possible, but the main threat for severe weather will be damaging winds and large hail along the line itself, with isolated tornadoes possible, too.
For Friday, winds shift back out of the NW, and we’re looking cooler and drier, although NE could still see a few morning showers.
The weekend looks sunny and warm with highs in the 80s.
