OHIO — Many Ohioans are still without power Friday after storms brought heavy rain, lightning, hail and flooding throughout the state late Thursday night.
Power Outage U.S., which tracks more than 5,300,000 customers in the state, reported more than 22,000 outages around 10 a.m. Friday.
First Energy reported a little over 17,000 customers were without power, according to Power Outage U.S. First Energy’s outage map showed a majority affected were in the northeastern side of the state.
AEP Ohio had just over 3,500 customers still affected by the storms. The utility’s outage map showed outages extending to the east and southeast side of the state.
