CLEVELAND — Pickle lovers, it’s your time to shine.
The Cleveland Pickle Fest will return on Saturday, Sept. 23 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. in downtown Cleveland at Mall B.
General admission tickets are $5, but pickle afficionados can get a VIP ticket, which includes a private bar and bathrooms, exclusive pickle-flavored beer and giveaway items, according to organizers.
There’s also a pickle-eating contest for those who can’t get enough. It cost $20 to join, and contestants will be separated into two groups: adults and “little gherkins” — kids 14 years and younger.
The individual who eats the entire jar the fastest will get a month’s supply of pickles and a trophy.
Proceeds during the festival will go toward Greater Cleveland Volunteers programs and services.
The festival will feature tons of pickle-flavored foods, including ice cream and pizza. The festival is still taking applications for vendors until Sept. 9, but said booth space is limited.
For parking, organizers recommend parking in the Huntington Parking Garage across from Mall B. They also said there are over 250 bike racks for those who need them.
