After a sunny and mild finish to the weekend, we are gearing up for a busy week of weather with 2 different systems impacting Ohio for the week ahead.

What You Need To Know

  • Washington’s birthday is looking beautiful, mild and sunny
  • Increasing clouds late Monday, with rain into Tuesday
  • Much colder air spills into the state by Wednesday
  • Thursday and Friday’s system brings us a wintry mix and snow

Monday will start off much like Sunday did, with mostly sunny skies, light winds and mild temperatures. In fact, Washington’s Birthday is shaping up to be a beautiful day, with highs in the upper 50s and low 60s.

Monday night, expect increasing clouds, strong SW winds, and a few showers by the late evening. This as a warm front moves across the area. The means very mild temperatures, and plain old rain into Tuesday morning. Tuesday’s highs will be in the upper 50s and low 60s, but with a soaking rain for most of the state throughout the day.

While no snow is expected with this system, Wednesday brings us much colder air behind it, with highs back into the 30s. There won’t be much sunshine either.

Our next system comes in for Thursday into Friday, and with colder air already in place, expect much of it to fall as a wintry mix of rain, sleet, freezing rain and snow.

While late-week accumulation estimates are still a little ways away, definitely plan on some slower travel from late Thursday night through at least midday Friday.

Temperatures will settle into the 20s and 30s for highs by the end of the week ahead.
