Expect sunshine to return to Ohio Monday and Tuesday, but don’t expect it to be warm — or even mild at all.

What You Need To Know

  • Mostly sunny skies but much colder Monday
  • Clouds return Wednesday, along with milder air
  • Thanksgiving: cloudy, seasonable and wet
  • Much colder Friday with highs in the 30s

After a wet Sunday, the next cold front pushes through Monday morning, putting nearly all of Ohio into the 20s to start off the new work week. A mostly sunny to partly cloudy afternoon is in store, with highs in the mid and upper 30s.

Wind chills Monday night could be in the teens across northern and western Ohio, especially.

Tuesday is another quiet but cold day, with highs in the 30s to near 40 in a few spots. It’ll be dry but chilly, with lows once again back into the 20s.

Wednesday is when things will change, as a front approaches and thickening clouds return to the skies. A few late evening and overnight showers are in the forecast as well. Temperatures will increase ahead of the front, with many areas Wednesday and Thursday well into the low 50s.

Thanksgiving: While not pretty, it’ll be mostly cloudy and quiet with just a few showers scattered around the afternoon. That said, nothing heavy or severe is expected so travel to and from friends and relatives should not be impacted too much.

Friday is when the front clears out, a few morning showers pass, and temperatures drop. By Friday afternoon, we could be looking at highs across much of Ohio only in the 30s.
