The first weekend of October was a bit bumpy across parts of Ohio, thanks to the remnants of former Hurricane Ian. However, the first full work week of October will be outstanding. Mild temperatures and ample sunshine will provide for a pleasant stretch of Autumn weather.

What You Need To Know

  • Bright sunshine and blue skies to start the week
  • Chance for showers late Thursday and early Friday
  • Mild daytime temperatures will reach the 60s and 70s
  • Overnight lows will be cooler in the 40s

High pressure will take control of the region Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. This means a string of dry days can be expected. Along with the lack of rain, sunshine will also brighten things up across the state.

Temperatures will gradually increase each day. For central and southern Ohio, highs will top out in the middle-to-upper 60s on Monday. By midweek however, many communities will bask in 70-degree warmth. In northern Ohio, highs will rise into the lower and middle 60s for Monday and Tuesday. By Wednesday, many areas from Cleveland to Toledo will be flirting with 70 degrees.

Overnight lows will be crisp, as temperatures tumble into the 40s.

By late-day Thursday, an approaching cold front will bring the chance for scattered showers to much of the state. Some showers may linger into early Friday, especially southeast. Some weather models indicate a noticeable drop in temperatures behind the front. Others indicate less of a drastic drop.
