OHIO — While the forecast for Halloween may be a bit gloomy and grim, the rest of the week will not be so frightful. Much of the week ahead will be dry with above normal temperatures for the beginning of November.

What You Need To Know

  • Scattered showers will dot the skies on Halloween
  • Drought conditions will persist as much of the week will be dry
  • Above-average temperatures are expected
  • Highs will reach the 60s, even a few 70s

The last day of October will feature a good deal of clouds and scattered showers passing through the state. Trick-or-treaters and their parents may need to bring an umbrella or rain jacket if they are headed out on Monday evening. Most of the moisture will be winding down on Monday night.

A few spotty showers will still be possible on Tuesday, mainly across the eastern half of Ohio. Many areas, however, will enjoy some sunshine for the first day of November.

In fact, mostly sunny and dry weather is expected throughout the rest of the week.

Temperatures will remain on the mild side. This time of year, normal highs are typically in the upper 50s to near 60. The going forecast will feature highs that are 5-to-10 degrees above average. Our thermometers may even touch 70 degrees by the end of the week!

Minor changes to the forecast by the weekend may be needed, but it appears our below-average precipitation trend and above-average temperature trend will continue.
