A week ago we had record heat in Cleveland with a high of 83 degrees. Today temperatures in northern Ohio struggled to get out of the 40s.

What You Need To Know

  • Lows will again drop into the 30s for the start of Friday
  • Skies will be brighter on Friday
  • Temperatures stay on the cool side this weekend
  • Scattered showers possible this weekend, especially Sunday

It’s cool everywhere with below average highs. Lows again tonight will fall into the 30s so patchy frost is possible.

Low pressure spinning over the Great Lakes and winds out of northwest are bringing in lake-effect clouds and showers to northern and eastern Ohio through the evening.

We could certainly see some wet snow or graupel mixing in with the rain. But, no snow accumulation is expected.

Skies will be brighter on Friday and that will help with temperatures a little.

We don’t see any major warm ups or big storms on the way.

Temperatures will stay cool this weekend.

Scattered showers are possible from time to time this weekend but neither day will be a washout.

Battle of Ohio this weekend

The Cincinnati Reds will host the Cleveland Indians this weekend for a three-game series.

Fans allowed into Great American Ballpark on Friday night may want to layer up.

Temperatures will be on the cool side tomorrow night in the 50s but it does look dry.
