CAMARILLO, Calif. — The average price of regular-grade gasoline in the United States has fallen almost 13 cents over the past week to $4.68 per gallon, according to AAA.

Industry analyst Trilby Lundberg of the Lundberg Survey said Sunday that the continued decline comes as crude oil costs fall.

“Assuming oil prices do not shoot up from here, motorists may see prices drop another 10-20 cents as the oil price cuts continue making their way to street level,” Lundberg said in a statement.

The average price at the pump is down about 30 cents over the past month, but it’s almost $1.54 higher than it was one year ago, according to AAA.

Nationwide, the travel organization found the highest average price for regular-grade gas was in California, at $6.09 per gallon. The lowest average was in Georgia and South Carolina, at about $4.19 per gallon in each state.

The average price of diesel dropped to $5.65 a gallon from $5.74 a gallon a week ago.
