Bengals fans turn LA into The Jungle away from home

LOS ANGELES — Bengals fans geared up all week to cheer as loud as possible at SoFi Stadium on Super Bowl Sunday. On Saturday night, the fans had one last get-together ahead of the game, with more than 1,000 Bengals fans in attendance at Bengal Jim’s tailgate.

  • Bengal Jim said he’s hopeful that the Lombardi trophy will be coming back to Cincinnati

“We have 12-15 former Bengal legends here,” Bengal Jim said.

“We have a DJ here. It is going to be an unbelievable night,” he said. “And about 1,200 other rabid Bengals fans not just from Cincinnati, but from across the world tonight. This is going to be a celebration of the season.”

Bengals fan of the year Bengal Jim helped host the tailgate. Fellow super fans like Tony Da Tiger said it was a chance to get all of the Bengals fans together one more time

“It’s a universal language here,” Tony Da tiger said. “Because every time you walk around, you have a Bengals jersey or a hat on. People are saying Who Dey to you.”

He’s looking forward to seeing all of Who Dey nation inside of SoFi Stadium.

“It’s going to be like The Jungle, you know, back at Paul Brown Stadium,” Tony Da Tiger said. “I think we’re going to get a little loud. I think we’re going to get a little happy and scream and yell and do some Who Dey chants.”

For Bukola Stewart and his wife, Tia, they traveled all the way to California with no expectation of going to the game, only with hopes to enjoy moments like this.

“We just wanted to support our team,” Bukola said. “Whether we got tickets or not, we just wanted to be part of the environment and excitement.”

And while Bengal Jim said he doesn’t give predictions, he’s feeling pretty good about his Bengals.

“Cincinnati, get ready for a Super Bowl parade this week,” Bengal Jim said. “I’m telling you, it’s going to happen.”
