“Everyone was like, ‘What are you doing?'” Chrisman said. “And I was like, ‘Just wait!’”

What started as a way to keep his money-making kicking leg strong has turned into something more.

“Obviously it’s a great workout for the legs which directly correlates to my job as a punter,” he said.

Chrisman takes his job seriously in order to keep his 5-star rating going strong, taking the extra step to deliver meals right to the hands of the consumer.

But what he found riding across the city inspired him to use his extra cash to help others.

“This money all directly goes to extra money that I can hand out to basically strangers on the street that might be hungry,” Chrisman said. “That really struck a cord in me and I just wanted to help out in some way and I used the money I made while I was DoorDashing to try to fulfill some sort of need.”

Now the videos he posts on social media are getting hundreds of thousands of views, garnering donations from fans and local restaurants.

“It felt like a sign to me,” he said. “I was like I’m going to try it out for a couple weeks, enjoyed it, put a camera on my head, and then the rest was history at this point.”

Chrisman said he’s not only helping others but feels like it’s fulfilling a need within himself too.

“I started to feel a lot happier and more complete as Drue,” he said.

After several weeks of DoorDashing, Chrisman recently heard from the company itself which shared they would match his total earnings over two weeks as well as donate $1,000 to a local food bank.
