SUNBURY, Ohio — Two student athletes from Big Walnut High School were recognized as Week 4 Scholar Athletes of the Week for the central region.
Cam Gladden is a multi-positional player in football for Big Walnut playing at the wide receiver, kicker and punter potions. He also is a multi-year letterman in baseball.
In the classroom, Gladden carries higher than a 4.0 grade-point average while taking AP and CCP classes. Gladden also is a Golden Eagle winner, further exemplifying excellence in the classroom and the field.
Maci Ames is a cheerleader and track and field athlete for the Golden Eagles.
In the classroom, she carries a 4.2 GPA.
She was described as an “incredible athlete, student and teammate” and as “kind to all, encourages other to be their best, and constantly is pushing herself past any limits that may be set.”
