Once again, the Canadian wildfires are affecting areas across the Northeast.

What You Need To Know

  • Smoke is filling the air across the Northeast
  • Air Quality Alerts are in effect
  • Conditions should be much better on Wednesday

A low sitting over Canada has helped smoke drift into the Northeast over the last couple of days, bringing the air quality down.

Air Quality Alerts are still in effect for today for many areas across the Northeast and New England.

Particulates from wildfires can reach deep into the lungs since they are very small, so take extra precaution. If you’re sensitive to smoke, it’s a good day to stay indoors, as the skies are thick with it.

The good news is we’ll see improvement as we head into Wednesday.
