CLEVELAND — Taco Tuesday is out and Cleveland Taco Week is in.
Twenty restaurants in the Cleveland area are taking part in the fun, including a popular Mexican restaurant, Barrio.
“Cleveland Taco Week has been going on for quite a few years now,” Barrio marketing director Ashling Murray said. “Barrio always participates. It’s really fun for all the local taco joints, or even just restaurants, to showcase the tacos on their menu.”
Consumers stand to benefit from the week as they can get a speciality taco for just $2 from each participating restaurant.
There’s also a Cleveland Taco Week passport that gets stamped every time someone orders from each contributing restaurant. At the end of Taco Week, a person can turn in their passport to have the chance to win $250 in gift cards.
For restaurants like Barrio, this week gives them a chance to get their name out and take part in a community event.
“I guess we’re just hoping that people that do try our tacos come back and be loving Barrio for years,” Murray said.
Cleveland Taco Week began May 9 and runs through May 15.
