Thanks to strong southerly winds, temperatures are climbing rapidly. We’re expecting afternoon temperatures well into the 60s and even some lower 70s across parts of Ohio this afternoon.
Winds will gust to around 30 mph at times, but those same winds are responsible for ushering in the unseasonably warm air ahead of a strong cold front that arrives tonight.
Ahead of the front, a few spotty showers are possible this afternoon, mostly across northwest Ohio. Rain becomes widespread statewide overnight and early Thursday morning before moving out around midday tomorrow.
Temperatures will only be in the 40s Thursday afternoon.
