Copley students named Week 4 Scholar Athletes of the Week for northeast region

AKRON, Ohio — Two student athletes from Copley High School were recognized as Week 4 Scholar Athletes of the Week for the northeast region.

Colin Link is a two-year captain on the Copley soccer team, having previously earned all-district first-team honors.

In the classroom, Link carries a 4.4 grade-point average and scored a 32 on the ACT.

He also is vice president of the Chinese club, a volunteer first grade tutor at Fort Island Elementary, a Copley youth soccer camp counselor, a volunteer youth soccer coach for the Copley Cosmos youth soccer program and a volunteer at the Akron Canton Food Bank.

Amelia Wagner is a member of the varsity cross country and track teams.

In the classroom, Wagner carries a 4.6 GPA.

She also is vice president of the Key Club and member of Speech and Debate Volunteers through Key Club. Wagner also spent time last summer volunteering with Akron Children’s Hospital.
