MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ohio — Democratic candidate for governor Nan Whaley is vowing to keep up the fight, especially for issues like abortion and gun control.

“Despite trailing in every single poll, we raised millions of dollars,” said Whaley as she addressed her supporters. “Not from special interests looking to call in a favor, but from nearly 30,000 everyday folks willing to chip in a few bucks to make their state a better place.”

Whaley told her supporters at the Democratic Headquarters in Montgomery County that while she is disappointed by the loss; she feels grateful to the tens of thousands of Ohioans who contributed to her campaign.

“I’m going to keep fighting for Ohio,” Whaley said. “And I sure hope you all will still join me.”
