COLUMBUS, Ohio — Gov. Mike DeWine has ordered U.S. and Ohio flags on all public buildings and grounds flown at half-staff in recognition of Memorial Day.
DeWine’s said flags should remain at half-staff throughout the state from sunrise until noon on May 31.
DeWine and First Lady Fran DeWine also held a private wreath ceremony ahead of Memorial Day.
The ceremony was in honor of Ohio service members who gave their lives while serving the country.
“We will always remember their sacrifice and heroism,” DeWine said on Twitter.
