Subtropical Depression Don continues to weaken in central Atlantic. Don formed Friday morning, becoming the fourth named storm of the 2023 Atlantic hurricane season.
Centered less than 1200 miles west of the Azores, Don has weakened, producing maximum sustained wind speeds up to 35 mph.
Don is moving east-northeast, and will do a clockwise loop in the Atlantic over the next few days. Little change in strength is expected as Don drifts around the Atlantic.
It could become a post-tropical cyclone or remnant during that time, too.
Regardless of its fate, Don will affect the U.S.
