Autumn temperatures are about to move into Ohio just in time for the official start of the fall season.

What You Need To Know

  • Expect increasing clouds and rain for Monday through Wednesday
  • By the middle to end of the week, highs will only be in the 60s
  • Fall officially begins Wednesday at 3:20 p.m.

After a weekend filled with temperatures well into the 80s, we’re looking at a significant pattern shift this upcoming week with increased chances for rain and a 100% chance of a major cool down.

Fall actually officially begins on Wednesday at 3:20 p.m.

Starting Monday, we’ll see increasing clouds and moisture ahead of a powerful front that will deliver scattered showers and a few late day storms. Temperatures ahead of this system will still be rather warm with most areas well into the low and middle 80s.

Tuesday is the transition day with rain, heavy at times and even a few stronger storms.

By Wednesday, the front passes through and gives us a shot of much cooler, more Canadian air. We’re looking at highs by the middle to end of the week only topping out in the 60s for nearly everyone across Ohio.

Thursday’s skies will start to open up a bit after a few morning showers. Temperatures will remain cool with most areas still only in the 60s.

With some late week sunshine in the forecast, expect temperatures to rebound a bit by Friday, but still remain below average, which this time of year is still in the mid to upper 70s.
