CINCINNATI — Three more defense witnesses wrapped up at the stand on Tuesday for the trial with former Ohio House Speaker Larry Householder and former GOP chair Matt Borges.
All three witnesses on Tuesday were former state representatives who testified about their time serving at the Ohio House with Householder.
Former State Rep. Nino Vitale testified he was chair of the House Energy Committee and he worked on HB6. Former State Rep. Jim Trakas testified about how he was a member of “Team Householder” and didn’t feel pressured by the former speaker.
Former State Rep. Brett Hillyer testified about working with Jeffrey Longstreth who created negative ads against his opponent. Hillyer also voted for Larry Householder as speaker and voted for HB6.
Householder is expected to testify on Wednesday. Court will resume at 9:30 a.m.
