WESTLAKE, Ohio — Parents and kids enjoyed on Tuesday crafts, games, learning and prizes at ‘Crocker Kids’ at Westlake’s Crocker Park for a day with the theme “Reading is Fun.”

What You Need To Know

  • Northeast Ohio Parent Magazine is putting on free events for families
  • Nine more will be held this summer
  • Events include raffles, games, crafts and more

Organizers say just because school is on summer break doesn’t mean you can’t find ways to work a little learning into your plans. Northeast Ohio Parent Magazine is ensuring families can enjoy fun, free events all summer.

This is the 6th year Northeast Ohio Parent Magazine is running events like these. The events are geared toward ages 2-9.

“We hear a lot from the readers of our magazine saying ‘thank you for free events.’ The families can just come and go as they please and just get connected with businesses, schools, camps and local places,” said Brad Mitchell, owner and publisher of Northeast Ohio Parent. “They can come out and just enjoy a couple hours of fun in the sun.”

There are nine more free kids events happening in Westlake, Hudson and Orange Village this summer. The events will be held on Tuesdays through early September. Click this link to see when.

Each will have its own theme like Friendship Fun Day, Under the Sea water games and more.
