DeWine is expected to address his accomplishments from last term and what he hopes to accomplish in his new one. The fiscal budget for the state in 2022/2023 is $74 billion.

“Ohio is a manufacturing state,” said DeWine at the Statehouse Gala that took place over the weekend. “It’s in our DNA, and we’re going to continue to do that, and we’re taking manufacturing to an absolutely new level.”

Included in the budget is a plan to expand access to broadband internet for Ohioans. DeWine also signed an executive order Sunday night to create a mental health insurance office to provide mental health and addiction insurance benefits.

Other executive orders include an anti-discrimination policy toward nursing mothers and teaching students about economic development.

“It’s such an honor for me to serve with Governor DeWine,” said Husted at the gala. “Thank you so much for all you’ve done to help us achieve victory, to win an opportunity to serve for four more years.”
