AKRON, Ohio — Kaulig Companies will be the new title sponsor for the Bridgestone Senior Players Championship next year.
Kaulig Companies made the announcement at the Firestone Country Club in Akron, which will host the Bridgestone Senior Players Championship in about a month.
Kaulig will begin a four-year agreement as the title sponsor next year, replacing Bridgestone.
Kaulig Companies is based in Akron. The chairman and CEO said this is a great way to support the local economy and the community.
“We feel very fortunate that it even came available,” said Kaulig Companies Chairman Matt Kaulig. “Bridgestone has been the title sponsor for 16 years and we wanted to jump at the opportunity. We do so much here in Akron.”
The partnership begins next summer. The official new name of the tournament will be announced at a later date.
