We’re going to be wrapping up 2021 with mild, even warm days to start the week, in addition to a good chance of rain statewide.

What You Need To Know

  • Rain- heavy at times, is likely early in the week
  • Temperatures will be 10 to 25 degrees above average through Wednesday
  • Sunshine returns Thursday
  • A quiet and mostly seasonable end to the year is expected

As the rain moves in Monday, we’ll see temperatures soar in front of a front that could bring in gusty south winds. These will help transport very warm and unseasonable air into the Buckeye State.

With a chance of showers, Monday will bring us highs in the 50s near northern Ohio, with highs approaching 70 degrees across southern areas, including the city of Cincinnati.

Rain continues into Tuesday, which may be the rainiest day of next week. The rain continues Wednesday, although it will lighten up by the end of the evening.

After that, we’re finally going to see a cold front sweep through, and dry us out and cool us down.

By the end of the week, and year — we’ll see highs slightly above seasonal averages, with partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies. And 2022 starts off partly cloudy and quiet with only a slight chance of a shower.
