As we turn the corner onto the second half of the weekend, we’ll see another warm and muggy night with many areas close to 70 degrees by Sunday morning.
Expect clear to partly cloudy skies to start Sunday, with some overcast skies over the eastern third of the state during the late morning and early afternoon. These clouds are coming off the top of Hurricane Henri, which will be slamming into the eastern end of Long Island. Other than that, we do not expect any effects from the storm.
Highs Sunday will reach the upper 80s and low 90s, although with the added humidity, we’ll feel much more like the mid 90s for most of the afternoon. Other than a pop-up shower or storm in spots, most areas will remain dry.
More hot and humid conditions are expected through the middle of next week, with a better chance of rain and storms by Wednesday.
