A study from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation finds disproportionate inflation effects among people of color.

The results did not come as a surprise to Gary Cunningham, the president of Prosperty Now, which sponsored the poll.

“People of color because of historic isolation, discrimination, segregation, are locked out of many of our systems that it takes just to survive,” Cunningham said.

He also noted that the pandemic had a particularly negative impact on those with the lowest incomes.

“Clearly, on every front, people that are in what’s termed low-wage work suffered the most,” he said.
