A potent weather system will dive across parts of the eastern United States starting Sunday, possibly affecting travel before Thanksgiving.
Since this system is still several days away, some details are uncertain. However, the general themes of this system have been consistent.
Areas of rain develop in the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley on Sunday; for some, it’ll have already started by the time we get up for the day. Much of the activity in these regions ends by Sunday night, but some lake-effect lingers into Monday.
The line of rain races toward the East Coast Sunday evening and night. It’ll last into Monday, ending from west to east as the day goes on. The speed of the system will determine just how quickly the rain ends, although it ought to last in New England through Monday night.
While most places will be done with this system by Tuesday at the latest, parts of the Northeast will still likely be dealing with leftover snow or a rain/snow mix that day. Everyone should be dry by Wednesday. Stay updated if you have travel plans.
