The flowers and grass will get plenty of water this week. We are looking at a chance for showers and storms each day in the extended forecast.
Showers and storms are most likely Monday and Tuesday and a little more isolated on Wednesday and Thursday before a storm system comes in Friday and Saturday.
With a southwest flow, it’s muggy and some storms could produce some really heavy rainfall in a short amount of time.
We saw an isolated downpour in southwest Ohio early Monday morning that produced 1.3 inches of rain in just 30 minutes.
This is a good example of what we could see throughout the work week.
There is also the chance for isolated severe storms Monday through Wednesday.
Some storms could produce some damaging winds.
Storms fizzle late Monday night and Tuesday morning will start with scattered showers.
We will again see storms increase in coverage during the afternoon and early evening hours of Tuesday.
We do see a quick break with dry skies Wednesday night into early Thursday.
Isolated showers are possible on Thursday afternoon with more widespread rain coming in from the northwest early Friday through Saturday.
While we may see some warmer afternoon highs in the upper 80s on Thursday and Friday, dew points will also be on the muggy side this week.
