Shadowbox Live opens 35th season with Climax: The Greatest Hits

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Shadowbox Live kicked off its 35th season with Climax: The Greatest Hits on Jan. 5. The sketch comedy and music experience runs through April 29 and features the best comedy sketches and music from Shadowbox’s 2022 season.

“It is a blockbuster,” said Shadowbox Live CEO Stacie Boord. “It is all of our favorite sketch comedy and music from the past year, and it is a feast for the eyes and ears.”

Climax features the return of The Foo Fighter’s ‘’The Best of You,” Aerosmith’s “Train Kept A Rollin’,” Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Games,” and more. Returning Sketches include “James Bond-License to Cancel” where James Bond is called into HR for a meeting.

Climax: The Greatest Hits opened Thursday, Jan. 5 at 7:30 p.m. and continues Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. through April 29. No Return: The Deadly Dance of Bonnie and Clyde will open on Jan. 19 and continue through Feb. 26 after a successful debut last fall.

Shadowbox Live is the nation’s largest full-time resident theatre ensemble and has been entertaining audiences in Columbus and beyond since 1988.

“It has been an amazing journey,” said Boord. “We have been so fortunate to evolve and grow into the arts organization that we are now and we are so excited for what we have coming up this year.”
