OHIO — In honor of Truck Driver appreciation week, Sheetz gas stations will be offering free meals and drinks to truck drivers through Sept. 17.

The gas stations will also be offering a lower price for diesel fuel through Sept. 30 at $4.49 a gallon. According to AAA, the current price for diesel gas is averaging $5.152 a gallon in Ohio.

“Truck drivers are the backbone of this country,” said Travis Sheetz, the president and CEO of Sheetz, in a news release. “As a company, we are committed to showing appreciation for our customers. We wanted to go above and beyond for Truck Driver Appreciation Week by providing extended offers that will be unquestionably beneficial to them.”

Truck drivers can receive a free meal containing any half of a sub, bag of fries and any size self-serve coffee or fountain drink. Drivers should enter “TRUCKYEAH” in the Sheetz Mobile App through Sept. 30 for the meal.
