Small Plane Crashes on I-75 in Cincinnati

CINCINNATI, Ohio — Cincinnati Police say a small plane made a crash-landing on I-75 North, near Ronald Reagan Highway.

No one is hurt.

The pilot reportedly declared an emergency and landed in the Northbound lanes around 11:45  a.m.​

The interstate is shut down for an investigation and the removal of the plane.

There is no word yet on where the plane took off or where it was heading.

Here’s what we know so far:

  • The pilot is a man in his 60s and was the only person on board
  • He is uninjured and is on-scene assisting investigators
  • He reported engine trouble shortly before landing on I-75.
  • He was able to avoid cars, but ended up crashing into a cement barrier along the highway, causing damage to the fuselage

Traffic is being diverted onto Ronald Reagan Highway. Northbound lanes of I-75 are expected to be shut down for a few hours.
