The first day of spring is Sunday (11:33 a.m. to be exact), and it’ll certainly feel right on schedule, with mild and seasonable temperatures and a return of sunshine–statwide.

Overnight, expect showers to taper off, with mostly cloudy skies and windy conditions. A few gusts will top 35 mph through the wee hours of the morning on Sunday. Also, north of I-70, expect a few wet snowflakes to mix in with the showers. No accumulation is expected, as temperatures will remain well above freezing.

After a few sprinkles and clouds early Sunday, especially NE, we’ll see sun return, with highs in the upper 40s to near 50 north, and well into the 50s and even 60s further south.
