CLEVEALND — Energy costs continue to climb across the U.S., and it’s leaving many Ohioans with “sticker shock” when they open their latest utility bills.
“Especially if you have an older home — like I do — having older windows, older doors, where drafts can more easily seep through,” said Stefan Wygonski, an employee at South Hills Hardware.
Wygonski recommended shrink wrap for drafty windows, door sweeps for exterior doors and foam insulation spray for any cracks. He also emphasized perhaps the most important key to keeping your home warm this winter: your furnace.
“It’s important to have the right furnace filter so that it is running properly,” he said.
