Subtropical Storm Don formed in the Atlantic early Friday morning, becoming the fourth named storm of the 2023 Atlantic hurricane season.

  • Don is in the central Atlantic Ocean
  • Further development is unlikely by the weekend
  • It will not affect the U.S.

Don’s intensity has weakened a little since early Friday morning.

It is forecast to drift north before taking a southeast turn over cooler water, limiting further development. Drier air will also limit its development.

This system will not affect the U.S.
