CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Taco Fest, which was scheduled to happen this weekend, has been canceled due to “unforeseen circumstances,” organizers said.

Organizers have not given any additional details as to why the festival was canceled. The event was scheduled for Aug. 27-29 at the Agora Theatre Festival Grounds.

The festival sold tickets for $5 per day or $10 for the entire weekend. Tickets purchased online will be automatically refunded, according to the event website.

Originally, the festival was requiring attendees to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative coronavirus test within 72 hours of entry.

Eight vendors and several bands were lined up for the festival.

Organizers have not said whether they will try to reschedule.
